CartaNova had the honor of delivering a presentation at the Military Medicine Research Unit of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF), led by Colonel Machiko Kawasaki.

The presentation was attended by around 40 to 50 leaders and personnel from the medical division, including the Commander of the NBC Medical Unit and the Vice Commandant of the JGSDF Medical School.

Focusing on recent case studies from Ukraine,the session focused on the critical importance of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) countermeasures in military operational environments and wartime situations. Drawing on international data and real-world case studies, we discussed the challenges and implementation of Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs (ASP) during conflicts and emergencies.

During the Q&A segment, we engaged in a highly dynamic discussion with practical and insightful questions from the audience, highlighting the strong commitment and awareness regarding AMR threats in tactical and disaster medicine.
